Morning Link Love

First of all, something to think about from today's IBD:

The nine biggest up days in Wall Street history all occurred during the bear market of 2000-02.

Moving on...

  • Hopefully, this guy will find his way over to my old company, and blow them up too.
  • The ECB is still talking tough. No interest rate coming.
  • A new presidential poll is out and it shows Obama gaining. My wife's grandmother is supporting Obama. She's an 85 year old conservative Italian who has never voted Democratic in her entire life. I'm just saying... he's a true "uniter."
  • If the Bond Insurers go you may want to build that bomb shelter and start hording food.
  • Sometimes the truth isn't so exciting. Brian at Alphatrends speaks some truth.
  • Do individual daytraders make money? Dr. Brett digs deeper.

Obama is no doubt a great speaker but lets see were he stands on the real issues.

His voting record and Hillary's are almost exactly the same. One difference, he passed a law against lobbyists. He also wasn't in the Senate when the voting for the Iraq war took place, and spoke out against it at the time.

Everything else is almost identical.

So I say, who has the better chance to bring the country together again? Obama. Hillary is so widely hated by so many that if she's elected you can almost guarantee more of the same crap from Washington and the mainstream media.

Iam a Ron Paul guy. I think the FED has gotten way out of control. I cant stand Hellary or any of the Republican guys. This country needs a total overhaul.

This country is almost exactly like the NYSE "Hybrid".

I like a lot of RP's ideas on fiscal matters.

The problem is that he's simply not going to win the nomination. The media has all but ignored his successes (he finished a strong second in Nevada and it was barely spoken about) and painted his followers as a bunch of internet lunatics.

RP wont win but more importantly his ideas will. He has a huge following and its only getting bigger. I have seen videos of him schooling Bernanke and various media idiots. (Except Maria Bartoromo) of course, who totally operates on some unknown level of brain waves that us mere mortals can never understand.

No, it's true, the man is a clear thinker and has integrity as far as his fiscal issues are concerned.

But I doubt anything will change significantly because of his ideas. I mean, Forbes gained popularity with his whole tax reform idea and that got us nowhere...

Obama is hurting - Hill and Bill have him talking mad, which will not help him.... I would want her in the white house for foreign issues over him. That said, your conservative italian grandma in law is just saying she supports the man, but in the voting booth, a totally different matter!!!

Lisa,

Don't worry about the foreign policy stuff... maybe he'll put Hillary on staff or something.

As for the voting booth stuff, plenty of people have been going inside voting booths and supporting him, so I'm not too worried.

wanna bet Hill wins the nomination over Obama???? What's it worth to you, big talker you?

After the Clinton's have been messing with the voters in NH and Nevada, nothing...

Lots of reports of voter irregularities. I don't think the polls could have been so wrong in NH.

please! Don't become one of those conspiracy freaks on top of being a dinosaur!! Why can't it just be that, when people are up against the wall, they realize who the stronger candidate is? And then, they choose HER....
