A True Sleeper
First I thought it was a short.
Then I thought it was a long.
As it turns out, it was best just to leave it alone.
This was the story of today's market.
Here's the stats:
P&L, -$401
Best, LDK, $66
Worst, OSK, -$231
14,200 shares traded.
10 stocks traded. 3 winners, 7 losers.

Dehtrader, $585 on 3220 shares traded.
Evolution, $507 on 65,400 shares traded.
OBAT, $40 on 10,800 shares traded.
Akalawoo, $28 on 1 contract traded.
Denarii, -$36 on 2000 shares traded.
Me, -$401 on 14,200 shares traded.

Holy shit this market sucks to trade.
We didn't even get to the pathetically low level of 1.2 billion shares on the NYSE today. We have the perfect storm for a shitty market.
1. Waiting on Uncle Ben
2. Looming economic data (i.e. the jobs report) at the end of the week.
3. Hanukkah begins tonight.
Damn. I hate to start the month like this but perhaps it's a good time to take a couple days off to winterize the house or something...
Anyway, I don't see why tomorrow should be any different. Preserve your capital.
If you haven't checked it out already, please go read my new Peanut Gallery submission.
Tomorrow, I will post part two of the submission, "Third Tier, Cult and Specialty Blogs" here.

How To Handle A Kitchen Fire
I know, I know... but listen, it's a slow day and with the holidays upon us you may have a fire in your kitchen. Consider this a P.S.A...
Fire In Kitchen - Watch more funny videos here
Incidentally, there's a message here for stock traders. If you have a "fire in your kitchen" (i.e. you're getting smoked) the best thing to do is not panic. There... now it's relevant.

The Virtual Office Cemetary
Take a quick look at my "blogroll" and you'll notice a minor change.
I have moved the names of those bloggers who were once in the VO (and failed miserably) into a new "lower" section of my sidebar titled simply, "The Virtual Office Cemetary."
I figured that this makes it easier to take a quick glance and know which bloggers can't handle the heat and are washed up as traders.
In rare instances, as with the NYSE Scalper, the VO may drive one from blogging altogether.
In time I imagine that "the Cemetary" will grow. It will get "heavier" so to speak, like the dregs in a coffee cup, while the cream will rise to the top.
NOTE: Only one day left to vote in my new poll, "Is Daytrading Gambling?" Please register your opinion while perusing the sidebar. Thanks.
