Republican Debate

Misstrade was the first to point out Ron Paul to me as a good candidate. I consider myself an independent, so even though he's a Republican (party of Bush, don't forget) I'll consider him.

Well, you know he must have some good ideas when it's clear that Fox News is out to get him. Makes you realize why the Democrats won't participate in any debates sponsored by Fox. Unfair and unbalanced.

He's a libertarian really but runs as a Republican to have any chance. I don't agree with some of his ideas on economics but he's better than most of the other Republican candidates. If I had to choose one it would be Giuliani probably. On the Democrat side Richardson... all theoretical as I can't vote in the US.

I don't like any of the Republican candidates, I think they're all very scary. RP is the only one who seems interesting, but even he wouldn't get my vote because of his stance on the environment.

I don't like any of the Democrats yet either... I'm hoping that someone interesting emerges.

Here is an excellent synopsis of where RP stands on the issues.
