"One cannot seek other shores without consenting to lose sight of land for a very long time."

NOTE: I'm updating my blog a bit, creating an archive of some of my favorite posts and others I deem "important." This will take weeks to complete probably...

Well, it can be taken a few ways. First, if you're thinking about making a change, here, we can think about a trading style change, you're going to have some period of time where you're probably feeling a bit lost. However, this is something that must be done and accepted if you're making a large change.

More broadly, I posted it in view of the current economic and world situation. I think things are bound to get hairy soon, and our country will be forced to make a huge change. I don't think it will be easy however, because many won't be "consenting" to lose sight of their comfortable shores.

The third meaning, has to do with having sex with a drunk chick and urination, but I'm not going to discuss that here. That's why we have the urban dictionary.

Yeah, I think the situation is about to shit the bed soon. This will be followed by 25% unemployment and rioting in the streets. Then the food supply will dwindle and local governments will become insolvent. At this point everyone will be walking the streets with loaded weapons, looking for a little 'brekky.'
