The New Talking Point

The decline in the dollar doesn't matter for "real Americans," that is, those who buy their products in the US... unless they're out buying Gucci handbags.

I've heard that repeated by the talking heads all day. While I'm not an economist, I'm sure that's an oversimplification and that there are other ramifications.

DT, a little off topic from the importance of the declining value of the dollar, but I found a pretty neat link while reading tonight (and you always seem interested in odd links). It tells you the reading level of your blog (jr high, high school, undergrad, grad. etc).
Bastards pegged me at High School reading level. Not sure if I should be offended or not, but I guess I have to add more SAT words (or more expletives).
