The VO took a hit today. Like yesterday, we had 4 positive posters and 4 negative. Let's hope tomorrow we all finish out the week strong.

Nice bounce back today for ET. I know that when you get roughed up one day there's nothing like coming back strong the next. Dehtrader had another nice gain, consistent gains like that lead to nice years. $500 net a day means $120,000 for the year. Also notable today was the strength demostrated by OBAT. After a couple weeks of small losses and small gains, he pulled it together today for a nice win. Scalper spent the better part of the day paring losses but closed green, always the right way to end the day.

I still can't believe the market is going up.

And that is what makes trading so hard, you can lose $500 a day too.

Thanks for VO, it is looking good.

Glenn,

Right on. This job is great when things are going good and really tough when they're bad.

It's all about keeping perspective and it's much easier said than done.

Glad you like the VO.

I thank you for doing this too. I am hoping this pushes me to be more active in the market which I think in the loger term will improve my results. I doubt this is a competition but being shown with others pushes me anyway other than I would hate to always be losing money to your blog readers.

NP, Jeff.

Well, I formed the VO less in a spirit of competition and more in the spirit of camraderie. I traded in an office for a long time and there is certainly some element of trading that is very social.

It helps to work trading problems out with those who are doing well. It makes you realize that if you're losing money everyday and others are making money, that it's not "the market" it's YOU!

I think the most important aspect of being a successful trader is taking personal responsibility for the trades you make.

Also, since we're making "thank you" speeches here... the VO would be nothing were it not for all of it's members...
