Thomas Friedman On The Daily Show

I'd like this guy more if he didn't fuck up his views on the Iraq war so much. Anyway, here he is on The Daily Show talking with Jon about our energy infrastructure and the "green bubble" that needs to form.

His books/articles are a little too gimmicky for me.

Yeah, and I wish he'd stop wearing black all the time. I think he's a bit fake.

But I posted it because I thought it was interesting given the debate we were having here about Al Gore's Op Ed.

The debate which will forever be remembered for my total clobbering of Dogwood.

Is that the same debate where you ignored all financial, engineering, legal, and logistical issues regarding a complete revamping of our power infrastructure and placed all of your trust in a cheap Yes We Can! political slogan?

Yeah, some ass kicking that was, will probably take me years to recover. ;)

You debate with feelings, I debate with facts, which means you will always lose.

So sorry.

P.S. Hope your day is going better. This market sucks.

Feelings, facts... wasn't that the lesson of the last 8 years? Facts don't matter?

One of these days, Dogwood, I'll get you with a fact. They may just take a few years to develop. For now, I know what "feels" right, and I know it's not the status quo.

C'mon, be a man and concede defeat on the debate over the Goracle's latest wet dream-inducing fantasy. You'll feel better.

Oh, and no one was defending the status quo, nice straw man. I stated my support for transitioning to cleaner energy.

The entire debate centered around the 10-year goal and you have failed to provide any evidence that said goal can actually be met.

Sorry, you lose.

Hope your feelings keep you warm at night because they certainly won't change the status quo.

This one's for you my friend.

Dogwood,

Look, I didn't want to have to go here, but...

YOU LIVE IN A BLUE STATE!

ROTFLMAO @ Indiana!

Yep, I do this time.

See, I'm man enough to admit the obvious.

Your turn.
