Joe The Plumber

I'm really, really looking forward to Jon Stewart's take on "Joe The Plumber."

Watching McCain on a digital hi-def TV is scary, I'm glad Bam Bam is sleeping.

Indeed.

And sarcasm just doesn't work for the guy... he just seemed angry.

I think McCain's recognition of Obama's lead manifested itself tonight.

Two points on that:

First, that the person who does become President will be inheriting a very bad situation. That is the now. In four years the chances are good that our economy will be in much better shape and the person presiding will be the beneficiary, probably taking another four years.

The second point being that McCain will likely not have a chance to run again. I know he has a plethora of health problems. He could even be dead in four years - who knows.

On these two points, being a Senator will likely be the top stage of McCain's political career. I think he recognized that today, which is why he seemed so frustrated and was talking aimlessly and angrily.
