John McCain On "The Daily Show"
Good interview, though I wish he had grilled him a little more on being so close to Bush... especially after the 2000 election. I was for McCain in 2000 before Bush's dirty campaigning ruined his chances of winning. The fact that McCain has so solidly supported Bush in the last few years makes him an untouchable candidate for me now.

Close to Bush? You've got to be kidding. They smile and are civil toward one another, but I don't think they like each other at all.
Seriously, seek therapy for your BDS. You'll feel better. :)
Has nothing to do with whether or not they like each other... he's supported Bush's fucked up policies.

Well, I have to admit, a Republican Senator supporting the policies of a Republican President took me by surprise, too. I mean, WTF is up with that?
Hell, someday there might even be Democrat Senators supporting the fucked up policies of a Democrat President.
Guess we won't be surprised though, now that McCain and Bush have established the precedent.
I love your sense of humor Dogwood... your politics, not so much.:)
McCain was supposed to be this "Maverick" in 2000? Remember? I guess I believed him, and was expecting him to have some integrity.
My mistake!

Ditto :)
McBush used to be just plain McCain. He is a blue guy wearing a red suit and tell everyone he is actually red inside. How odd is that? He is looking so awkward day after day. Sure you have to sell your soul to be in the power but he still can't do it completely after 70 some odd years because he is not a total crook. On the other hand, Hillary is a red "guy" with 3 cojones wearing a blue "pansy" suit in 70's Rocky time. How odd is that? And she changes time after time to different figures depending on her moods or what's happening outside. Obama is more middle than they portray him as left Marxist. Ron Paul, more traditional Republican, agrees more with Obama than McBushClinton. You get the picture where each is standing?
Oh for goodness sakes, grow up already.
If you TRULY supported McCain's platform, then there is no way you could support a committed Marxist like Obama.
So you either didn't understand McCain then, don't understand Obama now, or you're just a big Disassociative Bush Syndrome baby.

I missed your comment. Obama is a committed "fairness" Marxist.
Did you you listen to his reply on why he'd raise the capital gains tax even after acknowledging that such a move would not raise, but in fact, deplete tax revenue?
He said "for fairness' sake."
Marxist or retard? We report, you decide.
Jake,
"Oh, my God, how could he? or Oh goodness he's a fucking Muslim." That's been the theme of McBushClinton and their supporters. McBush is a weak candidate to do that. He is being forced down to his throat but he still can't deliver. Will see much how he can be Bush-Rove nasty in the next few months. If he recalls how his ass got spanked last time, he may try hard to do it to Obama.
Why would I "TRULY" support McBush's ideas? I don't even know what this guy stands for any more. Why do I need to dig up his agenda while GWB is showing it everyday. Any reason there is going to be significant shift in his policies to Bush-Cheney? He basically bent backward and handed his ass to the Bushism and reversed his lifetime beliefs on all the major issues. And the funny thing is he can't completely sell his soul and your people also know it. We will see in the next few months.
Also tell me what McBush's platform is rather than what Obama did or what Obama said. All I can tell from McBush at this point is he has a fucking rich wife who wouldn't disclose her tax return for some reason. And anything else is pretty much the same as GWB. Am I missing something?
Jake,
I understand you have a hard time imagining how someone could like McCain in 2000 and Obama in 2008... it's because you can see the world in only black and white.
There's a lot of gray out there.
