Virtual Office, $14,889. Dow, +76.17, 13815.56.

Misstrade, $14,400 on 16,500 shares traded.
Me, $422 on 49,800 shares traded.
Denarii, $121 on 4300 shares traded.
Bubs, $0 on 800 shares traded.
Akalawoo, no trades.
Evolution, vacation.
OBAT, -$54 on 7000 shares traded.

Well today has to be one of the oddest VOs ever posted. Everyone basically treads water except Misstrade who turns in a big one. Guess he knows some people on the "inside" eh?

Anyway, so it looks like the market wants to keep going higher. For all the money going into mutual funds (according to Bob Pisani $10 billion in inflows yesterday), you'd think there would be a little more upside volume to this rally. We traded, about 1.6 billion shares today. Better than a couple of weeks ago, but still a fraction of what we were trading to the downside in August. Who knows?

Anyway, more earnings tomorrow.

Meanwhile, how about oil? $80.51. People are all talking about the rate cut and forgetting about oil...

Oil is at $81.93, not $80.51. You might be looking at next month's contract. I made the mistake this morning and almost shorted OIH. Good thing I didn't pull the trigger.

Win,

I'm away from my workstation, but I'm sure you're right. Thanks for the correction.

Hey DT,
Just watching MT's video and got the feeling 14k on 16k shares is from swing trades. I could be wrong and I don't really know but I was assuming VO was reporting numbers based mainly of day trades? Just curious to know so I have a fair view of the numbers. Either way, it's an awesome number.
Thanks!

Glenn,

I haven't watched MTs video but I'll take your word for it.

In a perfect VO, everyone would just report their daily stock trades. Evolution, myself, OBAT, Bubs and Denarii all do just this.

MT does a lot of swing trading and some day trading... he includes his swing trades here in addition to his day trades. Akalawoo is a stock options trader and Tapeworm is now our token futures trader.

So that's how things break down currently. I may start looking for more intraday stock traders to get back to an apples to apples comparison because that's why I started the VO in the first place.
