GAIA En Fuego

Closing in on a new all-time high up at $24.68. I always love it when you can make investments and feel good about them at the same time. This company promotes yoga, healthy living, sells organic clothing and furniture and also sells solar stuff.

It's my longest term holding ever, so I'm pretty happy about the strength of the last two days.

As for today, I'm a little disappointed in myself. I thought I was having a great morning and expected to be up a couple of grand. Unfortunately, it's more like a couple of hundred! I just got a little more chopped than I thought in some crappy trades today, like LNN and RWT...

I'm going to go finish the book I'm reading, Maverick's by Matt Warshaw and come back in the afternoon.

UPDATE: You can read Howard's post about GAIA here.

How long have you been in Gaia? I haven't heard of them before but it's nice to see they're doing well.

I have Mavericks on my bookshelf. Great read!

BD,

I picked up my initial shares of GAIA in 2004.

I loved Mavericks. Especially that photography. How far is it from where you're at 6 hours or so? Ever been there to watch those guys? Must be some scene...

DT,

Congrats on GAIA. I've been loosely watching GAIA since learning from you that they are a publicly traded company. I wish I picked up a few shares when it was still in the teens.

Another stock I have been watching, and missed out on, is LULU (a recent IPO - they make yoga apparel and gear). It set an all time high today.

Yoga is hot these days. Hmmm, wonder if Bikram will go public.

Ommm....

artha,

Thanks, great company. I too missed LULU but to be honest, I don't know if anyone needs 2 yoga apparel companies in their portfolio.

It is great to see Yoga really catching on. I hope it keeps up not just for GAIA, but because it's good for people.
