Wow. Well, I guess I provided the market with a lot of liquidity today...

Most of the Voers were on the sidelines today. For those who dipped their toes into the market, it was complete lunacy.

The story today isn't one of the indexes. Take a look at some of the individual stock moves today. They were insane. I mean, I hope someone can help explain these moves eventually. I'll show some graphs on my daily post, but I'm assuming some funds were just unwinding positions and that led to massive moves in some stocks.

Anyway, let's see what Monday brings. The FED dumped some dollars on the market today. These are strange days. Be careful with your long term positions. There's no reason to be a hero.

Excellent trading day DT. Your fingers must be aching with all that share volume you traded.

Hey DT....congratulations on your fantastic day!

I'm curious, it looks like you've taken your trading to "the next level", both in terms of average # daily shares traded...and more importantly, in terms of producing consistently strong results.

To what do you attribute your improved performance as of late?

CHEERS!

Tradercaddy,

Thanks, I read some of your posts over at "the Fly's" and it seems you were pretty busy yourself!

SotT,

Well, go back a few weeks to where I called my risk manager and that's one thing that has obviously helped me. Not worrying about taking big losses has helped a lot...now I just think about gains. It's been a mental shift for sure.

Most important though seems to be that the market is finally moving again. There is volatility. For the first 6 months of the year I was just getting chopped because there was less movement.

I've also been involved chatting with other very active traders at Wallstreak and I credit that with helping me regain my aggressive streak.

Thanks for reading,

Congrats! I only did a couple of quick futures trades today (both profitable but not much). It was really crazy, not so much the moves but how quickly direction keeps changing out of nowhere.

Well done, Dino!! Fantastic day. You need to buy a longboard painted with green dollar signs to commemorate this day. =)

Way to go, Dino. They say we day traders don't provide a service and you showed them otherwise. Without you, many longs might have jumped off a window today.

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

Crazy market, indeed. I'll wait until the dust settles to celebrate much. But I am relieved to have some of the pressure off, even if it did take 7 months of crap to get there.
