I guess American's will choose style over substance. Obviously he is not the most impressive speaker, but I don't know how anybody could disagree with what he was saying.
Did you watch the video? I think JS does a pretty good job of at least disagreeing with one thing he said that got so much publicity... the whole volcano research thing.
I could take the Republicans more seriously if they stopped courting fundamentalists and started paying attention to science.
