Dark & Stormy

Okay, so yesterday when I was complaining about my neighbor's dog, Bluedog wrote in and told me to drink a Dark & Stormy and that I'd forget about the dog.

Well I'm on my third Dark & Stormy and that fucking mutt is still out there, barking like a fucking seal. I'm gonna kill it with my bare hands and a log. Ultimate Warrior style...

As for the Dark & Stormy, it's a good drink, but a little sweet for my taste. I mean, that hasn't stopped me from having a few. Still, in the summer, I suggest some Pernod with seltzer.

  1. You need to pair it with a Cohiba Robusto for the full effect. :) I'll try your Pernod drink. Looks interesting.

  2. My Pernod is more for chilling... less for "drinking." A friend introduced me recently and I've taken to it, quite alarmingly.

Cohiba Robusto... heading over to Youtube now...

  3. Okay... so that's a cigar. Not for me. I tried, in my early days of trading to get into cigars... but I just didn't like them.

I liked one thing about them... they slow you down. You need a good half hour, and you can't do much else... so you sit and need to chill.

  4. DT,
That's what I'm saying, it's good for sitting back and chilling, watching the smoke and enjoying the moment. :) Unfortunately, it's difficult to get authentic Cuban cigars in the US. I used to smoke them all the time when I lived abroad, but have since fallen out after a bad "poisoning" incident with a Siglo IV. I still enjoy one now and then.

I see Pernod used to be made with absynthe. Nice. Be careful when you play with the green fairy! ;)

  5. You were poisoned by a cigar? That's a post waiting to happen.

  6. DT- Out of curiosity did your Mom get a new job or has she sued her ex-employer for age discrimination?

  7. TC,

Thanks for asking. She met with an employment lawyer, but I haven't had a recent update from her. She's still on the search as far as a new job goes...
